Most of this reading material is stuff that I enjoy. It’s not for everyone, but if you are an Asian-American male in your mid-twenties with a specific interest in business, finance, relationships, culture, sports and media, you might find this stuff interesting.
I Will Teach You How To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi – The one and only personal finance book I will ever buy or need.
Free Ride: How Digital Parasites Are Destroying the Culture Business, and How the Culture Business Can Fight Back by Robert Levine. For anyone who doesn’t understand how and why media works the way it does, this is a great book.
The Innovator’s Dilemma: The Revolutionary Book That Will Change the Way You Do Business by Clayton M. Christensen. The title seems pretty self-explanatory.
The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business by Josh Kaufman. Reading this one book might have saved me $200k in debt and 2 years of my time. Probably the biggest value-add read out there.
Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose. The Eat, Pray, Love for the business-minded individual – has completely changed the way I view companies I decide to work for and how/when I eventually make my way into entrepreneurship.
Dream Team: How Michael, Magic, Larry, Charles, and the Greatest Team of All Time Conquered the World and Changed the Game of Basketball Forever by Jack McCallum. Because never in the history of organizations, sports or otherwise, has there been a devastatingly group of talented individuals than the 1992 Dream Team and they deserve a commemoration. Runner-ups include Jesus and the Apostles, the original Rat Pack and Cream.
Black Girls Are Easy – Despite the misleading title, one of the most brutally honest blogs I’ve ever read to spell out exactly what goes on in the male mind when it comes to how they treat and perceive the opposite sex.
